A little background about my struggle with weight.
In 2012, I was 98 kilos, I was busy climbing the corporate healthcare ladder in America and totally lost sight of myself. I had become too accustomed to eating poorly, skipping exercise, and fell into very poor sleep patterns. When I met Mark, we both wanted to get healthy and started our journey with Lagree fitness. Within the first 10 months of Lagree classes (2 sessions per week), I had lost 10 kilos.
Lagree literally saved me from being self-conscious, insecure and timid along with the physical and health benefits of losing excess weight. I found my sexy, and my waist, and knew that this was my calling. If I could do it, I could help others achieve these results too.
We moved to Australia and opened Studio 45 Fitness in 2013 and over the next 3 years, I continued my health journey and lost another 11 kilos. I was thrilled with this, still being around 77 kilos I was bigger than a traditional “fitness professional” but I knew how far I had come.
At the end of 2016, I decided that I needed to focus a little more closely on my diet. I was a career yoyo dieter, you name the diet I have tried it. I also was a person who all week would be “good” and then let loose on the weekend. I would have a cheat meal that would lead to a cheat day and then cheat weekend. Monday was always my fresh start.
My body was changing and shrinking year over year with Lagree classes alone but despite all my hard work in the studio, I was cheating myself out of reaching my full potential. The constant dieting and lack of understanding in what I needed to eat to achieve my healthy weight target was never going to get me to that next level.
It’s when I noticed a member of mine literally shrink before my eyes. Come to find out, she was doing only Lagree classes for her exercise but was also working with Jackie from Well Hub. I immediately reached out and made an appointment. Meeting Jackie literally came at the best time ever. What I loved about Jackie was her thorough approach to my personalised eating plan. After an hour with her, I was invigorated and optimistic that her plan for me would work.
Jackie started me on a Ketogenic diet and personalised my macronutrient intake. March 3rd I weighed in at 77.3 kilos, within the first few weeks I dropped 4 kilos. I finished up her 6 week plan and the weight is still coming off. Today as I write this I am down a total of 7 kilos in 3 months. I went on vacation and with the tools Jackie has taught me, I only gained 200 grams! That was after 18 days in America! I know that the combination of Lagree classes twice per week and a sensible ketogenic diet, weight loss is not only possible but sustainable.
I have never felt so good, my skin is glowing and I’m wearing smaller sizes than I ever have. I have baby abs beginning to appear which for me is massive! Lagree is effective in firing up the metabolism, burning calories, attaining a cardio heart rate throughout the session (and beyond), builds lean muscle mass without bulk, and coupled with my ketogenic diet is a winning combination. The Lagree classes ignites the body, keto burns the fat stores, you literally melt away.
It was always the goal to one day offer a Studio 45 Fitness challenge, but we wanted to offer something that we personally believe in and achieves actual results. It has only taken us 4 years (ha ha) but this has been thought through and proven to work. You all have seen my weight drop over the years but have really noticed the fast weight loss in the last 3 months.
This is more than just a Challenge – this is a sustainable lifestyle shift. The tools Jackie teaches you combined with only 2 Lagree classes a week will change your body and bring out confidence from within!! This lifestyle shift is vacation proof, you can survive eating out, you can entertain friends with ease!
I made it through Easter, traveling to my in-laws, special occasion dinners, an 18 day trip to America all without ruining my progress and continued to lose weight! I never plateaued on Lagree alone but I never thought this kind of effective weight loss was possible – no drugs, no hype – a pretty simple program that can work for anyone.
It proved to me that my diet was way off, and these little “treats” here and there were actually massive roadblocks and were holding me back from my full potential! If you are looking for a reason to give this Challenge a go, here it is!!!
